Very brief advice on secondhand smoke

Description

To this short training module on how best to raise the issue of secondhand smoke exposure and promote smokefree homes and cars.

This training module provides you with information on the health effects of secondhand smoke as well as training on how to deliver effective interventions to manage exposure to secondhand smoke. The training should take you less than 30 minutes to complete.

Learning objectives

After completing this training module you will be able to:

  • Provide information on the consequences of secondhand smoke
  • Know how to deliver very brief advice on secondhand smoke
  • Offer patients practical support for making their homes and cars smokefree
  • Complete a short assessment to consolidate your knowledge
